How does one hire a professional wedding planner for their wedding

How does one hire a Professional Wedding Planner for their wedding?

Amrit-Dugar-wedding-Planner-Event-Manager-Rachnoutsav
Renowned wedding Planner Amrit Dugar, from Rachnoutsav has overseen some of the most extravagant indian wedding ceremonies. From arranging exotic destination weddings, to managing the entire flow of the ceremonies, he has a story behind them all. We spoke to Amrit, to find out how does one hire a professional wedding planner for their wedding…

AGL Magazine: 1. What do you expect the client to know before they Call a wedding planner?

Amrit: Wedding is a dream which is dreamt by family members along with Bride & the Groom. They have wishes and aspirations which need to be addressed. They have ideas which need to be nurtured. As a Wedding Planner, I would expect them to know before they meet a Professional.

 - Dates of each function – Pre Wedding, Wedding & Post Wedding
 - Number of Guests for each function
 - Ceremonies attached to each function
 - Locations, if by chance they have freeze or thought about
 - And most importantly the expectation should match against Budget Allocated.

    2. How many full-scale weddings have you planned? Which was your last one?

Amrit: Since 7 years, being in the Industry of Wedding, Planning & Designing, Our Company Rachnoutsav ‘The Wedding Planners’ have executed around 30 Weddings which are counted as trendsetters for the Seasons to ring in. The last ones were in the month of August, July, May and all were one up then another in various terms.

    3. What Contingency plan would you have for rainy weather?

Amrit: Hyderabad has the most unpredictable Climatic Conditions. As precautionary measure, we suggest the major portion of the function under a waterproof cover leaving 10 – 15% in the Open. The venue selection makes all the difference. When we were working in Chennai, client wished to have the wedding in the house. The Bride Wanted to have see the trees, rain water Drops, Sky during the festivity days. We created a glass house at their home Portico.

    4. What are the best out-door locations to plan a wedding in a monsoon season?

Amrit: Any Good Farm House / Open Ground like Gachibowli Stadium or HITEX. These are useful but all you need to do is create a Large Air-conditioned Marquee to accommodate your guests.

    5. What kind planning do you offer?

Amrit:  Rachnoutsav’s Wedding Services Start right from the time your dates are fixed. We as a company act as a single window for the client rather than client haggling from one vendor to another.
    1. 1.   Identifying the ideal location for Wedding and other Pre Wedding            Functions
    2. 2.   Finalization of the Venue.
    3. 3.   Designing of Wedding Invites
    4. 4.   Décor Designing and formalizing as per the ceremonies
    5. 5.   Logistics Planning & Guests Management
    6. 6.   Stylist for the Bride, Groom and close family
    7. 7.   Make Up Stylist for the Couple
    8. 8.   Event Entertainment Designing
    9. 9.   Management of the Venues on event Day
    10. 10. Décor Planning Execution
    11. 11. Permissions and clearances

    6. How do you cope-up to the changes in the plans from clients end?

Amrit: There is always a Plan B ready considering the mindset involve in a Wedding. As Wedding Planner and service provider we always keep the additional supports which may be add on a stage where the ideas are exchanged on site just before the ‘Barrat’ Arrives. Since Indian Weddings are more of a Family Show than Bride & Groom’s day, everything is kept in mind while planning the series of events.

    7. How do you manage the difference between the budgets and the wish-list?

Amrit: As Wedding planners, Rachnoutsav is being very clear when it comes to budget for the wish List. We produce / create / or give a feel of the requirements, days in advance and close on the budgets. The budgets are shared well in advance with 100% clear details. It gives flexibility to client to select and eliminate and pick the right one to match his wishlist. Even at our academy, Rachnoutsav Academy, wedding planning students are given complete download of what all can be expected in a wedding as compare to any Corporate Event. The students at Rachnoutsav Academy are experiencing the presentation and detail meetings with wedding clients along with management of Rachnoutsav as a part of LIVE Training.

    8. Tell us about   ‘destination weddings’ you have planned?

Amrit:  We just finished a Wedding in Chennai which was ‘Destination’ in true sense – It was Destination for all the 3 ends – Bride, Groom & Wedding Planner. 5 days and 8 events was the match. From identifying the locations to logistics planning & Management, Theme Selection for all the events to executing the same, entertainment for all the functions, hotel management to Food designing. We did it all. The result – Wedding has become the ‘Talk of Chennai’ across all the Circles.

IS there such a thing as a perfect wedding venue?

This is the very first big decision the couples make when planning a wedding. Some are happy to tie the knot at the registry office, and for some nothing less than a fairytale castle will do. Other couples want something truly extraordinary and one of a kind – after all, the most memorable day of your life should take place at the most memorable location possible!

Not only should the wedding venue fit into one’s style and vision, but it also has to fit into a budget, have the capacity to hold the guests, and fit in with a myriad of other requirements.
